Mrs. Cindy Wagner, Media Specialist
I earned my bachelors degree in Information Science from Florida State University and my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, along with my initial certification as a media specialist, from Georgia Southern University.
I have worked in several school systems. As an employee I have been a classroom para, p.e. para, media-para, receptionist, and school secretary. As a volunteer, I have worked in classrooms, media centers, computer labs, been a PTA officer (at the school and district level), served on parent committees, helped train PTA officers, organized fundraisers and dances, and filled in anywhere there was a need. In both capacities, I have worked closely with students, teachers, administrators, and parents.
This is my 9th year at Brookwood Elementary. During the past few years, we have spent a great deal of time rearranging the Media Center to make it more "user-friendly" for our student and have more changes planned for the coming year. We host two author visits and three book fairs each year.
My husband and I have two daughters, who are both teachers, (Catoosa and Walker Counties) and a granddaughter who will be in 5th grade this year.

This is my fifth year in the Media Center, but my 12th year at Brookwood! My husband's name is Mike and we have two daughters. Abbey is married with twin daughters. She completed her degree in Radiology at Dalton State. Gracie is an 11th grader at Dalton High School. I have two bonus children and their spouses, and 6 grandchildren, including Abbey's twin girls born in December 2017.
