Intro to Coding

First grade had fun with an intro to coding lesson using the Bee-bots that we were able to get with a DEF grant a few years ago. We share these with other schools and the bee-bots will be leaving us next week, so we wanted to use them one last time this year.

You can still shop online!

Our book fair closed at noon today. Thank you to everyone who came, shopped, or volunteered. It looks like it will be our best book fair ever - over 1800 books sold! Remember, our online sale goes on until October 6th, so there is still time to shop! Click here to go to the online fair.

Kindergarten Checks Out

We have been learning how to take care of library books for the past couple of visits and today, kindergarten students learned to find and check out books. They learned how to use shelf markers to hold the book's place while they decide if the book they are looking at is the one they want to take with them. They learned how to enter their student (lunch) number in the keypad and how to scan the book out.  Next visit, we will learn how to scan our books in.

The Book Fair is Open!

Our book fair opened this morning and will be here until Thursday, September 28th at noon. We will be open from 5 - 7 pm during Ballyhoo tomorrow night! We have some great books so come and shop!!!

Here are two of our student winners today with the prizes they choose.  All students are eligible to win as long as they do not have any missing or late library books.  There will be one winner from each homeroom.
