We started our Hour of Code a little early since lower grades only come every two weeks. Third graders watched a short video that demonstrated how coding has to be EXACT to work correctly. Then they sat with their backs to a partner - one partner drew a simple outline drawing while giving exact directions for their partner to follow. If the "coding" was exact, both partners would draw the same thing, even though the second partner did not know what they were drawing!
