Dr. Seuss Week

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday - but one day is just not enough to celebrate, so we have a special activity planned for each day next week!

Evaluating Websites

It is so important to be able to tell the truth between fake news and real news. The Internet is wonderful, but it is also filled with false information. Fifth graders have had some lessons on how to decide if a website is reliable or not and are putting these skills to use today.

Stations

This week (and next) we will be using some stations in the Media Center.  This gives our students a chance to learn about some of our "techie" items in small groups.  Students are also able to explore any of these items when they come to the Maker Space.  We have Squishy Circuits, an OzoBot, Bee Bots (shared with other Media Centers in the district), Little Bits, Nabi Big Tabs, circuits, Geo-magnets, a MIP robot, and more!

Second graders are the most common visitors this year to our Maker Space.  They are always excited to design and then build their projects.
