Brookwood Celebrates Read Across America Week!

Pre-K First Books!

Pre-k has begun checking out their own library books. This is a big step and means we have learned a lot about books and how to take care of them. Now, they will get to check out a new book every week!

Hands On!

Students have been exploring some of the items we received with our DEF Grant. (City Park, Roan, Westwood, and Brookwood Media Specialists collaborated on a grant - a few of the items are shared and we will have our turn with those later in the year.) The Little Bits, Squishy Circuits, and MIP robot are part of the grant - the Hot Wheels were ours for the asking from Mattel. Students will be using these items in conjunction with our Makerspace (opening soon) which each class discussed before using these items this week. Remember, if you have items to donate to our Makerspace (see the Winter newsletter)you may send them to the Media Center with your student.
